Look out for the official release

There is no public App Store download or TestFlight link yet. If you already have a personal testing invitation, follow it in TestFlight. This page will be updated when public downloads open.

02

Bring your own books

After installation, open Transfer → Import from Files and choose your TXT or DRM-free EPUB files. You can also transfer from a computer on the same Wi-Fi. A Chinese user manual is included on the first bookshelf so you can try reading right away.

03

Make yourself comfortable

Tap the middle of a reading page to show the controls. Choose fonts, size, colors and page turns. Keep bookmarks and notes, and continue from your saved position next time.

A few things you might wonder

Can I download novels in the app?

Jianjing Reader reads your local files. It has no bundled novels, online catalog or book download service. You import your own books.

Can I read without a connection?

Books already saved on your device are readable offline. Optional iCloud sync, backups, web search and email require the relevant network or system services.

Do I need an account?

No Jianjing app account is needed for local reading. Optional iCloud features use your own Apple Account and iCloud Drive.

Where can I get help?

Settings includes an offline user guide, privacy policy and support information. You can also contact our support email.
